Tom’s career is exemplary of a profound dedication to creating trust and security in our digital world. He is the founding chairman of Social Venture Partners International. Tom started the Merchant Risk Council (MRC), an international e-commerce anti-fraud forum. For close to ten years, Tom focused on developing strategic alliances and leading the business development efforts at Ekata. In June 2021, Mastercard came calling and bought the company. Now, at Vouched, Tom uses that experience to help online businesses with affordable, simple, and secure identity verification.
Tom's global perspective is another valuable asset. He considers Oregon home, but he’s experienced most of the last five years…abroad. During his time living in Singapore and Madrid, he developed a deep understanding of international markets and a keen awareness of global fraud trends.

He led the implementation of replacing slow manual workflows with scalable, automated processes. Peter’s extensive leadership experience in a variety of technology firms including Alavara, Scout Analytics, Microsoft, Corillian and BEA Systems.
