The sixth edition of the G20 TechSprint is now officially under way! This worldwide challenge and innovation competitiveness seeks to solve some of the finance sector’s most critical challenges. This year's challenge, launched by the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) and the South African Reserve Bank (SARB), invites developers worldwide to create solutions that foster trust and integrity within scalable and open finance systems. The deadline for proposal submissions on June 20th is fast approaching – an exciting time for innovators looking to get in on the action.
Focus on Digital Trust and Financial Inclusion
The SARB and the BIS Innovation Hub have released three important problem statements for participants to address. These obstacles are focused on improving confidence and safety in the monetary environment.
Providing a total of $150,000 USD in prizes, the G20 TechSprint is highly incentivizing for teams who enter. A total of $90,000 in prize money will be awarded, with each of the winners receiving $30,000. Additionally, each of the shortlisted projects will be awarded a $5,000 stipend to help further their development work.
